Revolutionary PossibilitiesOn the Transformation of Everyday Life
A Panel Discussion with John Holloway and Andrej Grubačić

Take part: https://zoom.us/j/96352364804#success

Is there a revolutionary hope? What revolutionary possibilities lie in everyday life? How can mutual aid help us to get beyond capitalism? From Rojava to Mexico, to California, to Bremen – questioning we go forward. Together with political scientist John Holloway, based in Mexico, and anthropologist Andrej Grubačić, based in the US, we want to talk about these and similar issues. Join us, listen and ask your questions.

The Initiative of Mutual Studies of the Students of Rojava and Bremen (IMS) and the Rosa-Luxemburg-Initiative invited John Holloway and Andrej Grubačić to a panel discussion called „Revolutionary Possibilities. On the Transformation of Everyday Life“. Both are academics, authors and activists. Holloway is a Professor at the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades in the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, Mexico. He wrote several books, for example: Change the World Without Taking Power (2002) and Crack Capitalism (2010). Grubačić is the founding chair of the Anthropology and Social Change department at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He wrote, among others, Wobblies and Zapatistas: Conversations on Anarchism, Marxism and Radical History (2008) and Living at the edges of capitalism: Adventures in exile and mutual aid (2016).

This event will take place digitally as well as in person at Kukoon. The panel discussion will be co-moderated by Ulrike Flader and Gunnar Bantz and will be held in English with an online translation into Kurdish.

Event organised by IMS – Initiative Mutual Studies of the Students of Rojava and Bremen, Rosa-Luxemburg-Initiative Bremen and Kulturzentrum Kukoon.
